The No. 1 most wanted person in Bago City, Negros Occidental was arrested around 3:30 p.m. on Monday at Barangay Lag-asan in Negros Occidental’s Bago City.

The 41-year-old Ramil Montuya, a resident of Purok Langka in the city’s Barangay Caridad, is facing murder charges and has been hiding from authorities for about 14 years.

Bago City police together with Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and Negros Occidental Provincial Field Unit arrested Montuya through the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Frances V. Guanzon of the Regional Trial Court – Branch 62 in Bago City dated June 26, 2007.

Police report revealed that Montuya was the suspect in a stabbing in Barangay Caridad on March 12, 2005.

The suspect was detained at the Bago City Police Station.

No bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./WDJ
