Facing homicide charges, a 21-year-old man was arrested at his residence in Purok 3, Barangay Nagasi in Negros Occidental’s La Carlota City around 11:10 a.m. on Saturday, September 4.

La Carlota City Police Station chief Lieutenant Colonel Joenel Guadalupe identified the suspect as Niel Ortega.

Joint operatives of the La Carlota City police, 2nd Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company and 6SAB Philippine National Police-Special Action Force arrested Ortega through an arrest warrant issued by Judge Cyclamen Jison-Fernandez of the Regional Trial Court – Branch 63 in La Carlota City dated September 4, 2021.

The suspect was detained at the La Carlota City Police Station. A P120,000 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./WDJ
