The Bacolod City government continues to ramp up its COVID-19 response by setting up a second drive-thru vaccination site in a strategic location at the South Parking Area of the Ayala Malls Capitol Central.
Vaccinees belonging to the A1 to A5 priority groups started getting their vaccine shots at the new site on September 2.
The Emergency Operations Center-Task Force and the COVID-19 Vaccination Council have taken into consideration the “highly strategic” location of the South Parking Area and its impact on the city’s vaccination efforts.
“It’s highly visible and easily accessible for city residents, especially the working group and the busy commuters,” OIC-City Health Officer Dr. Edwin Miraflor Jr. said.
Miraflor also said that the first drive-thru vaccination at the 5th floor parking area of Ayala Malls Capitol Central will continue to operate.
Both drive-thru locations regularly operate from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
He encouraged the public to get vaccinated by assuring them that the drive-thru process “won’t take so much of their time.”
Vaccinees – those belonging to the priority groups A1 to A5 – must bring any government-issued ID with a Bacolod address, other supporting documents, and a screenshot of their online registration./WDJ
