Negros Taekwondo Union (NTU)-Tigers New Gen bagged five medals, including three golds, in the 2021 Smart/MVPSF Online National CPJ Speed Kicking and Poomsae Championship last Sunday.

Arthur Diaz spearheaded the Negrense taekwondo jins as he ruled the male finweight speed kicking category, while Jerick Joseph Paiwas also finished with gold in male lightweight speed kicking.
Leigh Andee Rodriguez also came up with a golden finish when she ruled the female lightweight speed kicking category.
The NTU-Tigers New Gen also had a silver medal from Julio Miguel Zapata (men’s flyweight speed kicking) and a bronze from Ceanne Kyle Rosquillo (senior men poomsae).
Team Phikoma Cadiz City, meanwhile, had two bronze medals from Erich-Eunin Geli and Ayesa Manangan in the female blackbelt free kicking category. Ilongga Alexis Eunice Araneta ruled the said event.
The one-day virtual taekwondo championship was backed by the Manuel V. Pangilinan Sports Foundation and sanctioned by the Philippine Taekwondo Association./ASC, WDJ
