The family of the alleged robber slain in Barangay Villamonte in Bacolod City has opted not to press charges against the suspect’s victims.

Based on the latest information provided by police and the barangay, 35-year-old Ernesto Vallejo was tagged as a “problem” as he was involved in other robbery or theft incidents in the area.

Vallejo was also arrested for illegal gambling back in 2019 and is also believed to be involved in illegal drugs.

Vallejo was slain by his victims identified as 65-year-old Quentin Limbaga and his son, 19-year-old Czedrian Limbaga, using a Katana, a type of samurai sword.

Police Station 4 commander, Police Major Jun Ray Batadlan, said upon further investigation over the incident, it was revealed that Vallejo may have also previously victimized the Limbaga family by burglarizing their sari-sari store.

The victims are also still recovering at the hospital with the elder Limbaga suffering a stab wound in his hand, while his son has an injury in the head after being hit with a pipe during their scuffle with the suspect./DGB, WDJ
