The Emergency Operations Center-Vaccine Cluster and the City Health Office of the San Carlos City government in Negros Occidental continued the simultaneous vaccination in barangays 1 and 3 on Monday, August 9.
A total of 425 individuals out of 454 allotted vaccinees from priority groups A2 to A3 composed of senior citizens and persons with comorbidities completed their dose with Sinovac and Aztrazeneca COVID-19 vaccines.
Meanwhile, Ruby Alcoran, a resident of Barangay 5, said her family members are now fully vaccinated.
She said that they are happy that they are now protected from the coronavirus.
She urged everyone to get vaccinated and to continue to observe the minimum health protocols since vaccinated people can still be infected.
People who have completed their doses were given a vaccination card that they can use to present whatever necessary transaction that requires it.
The city government still targets more people to get vaccinated as it keeps receiving new batch of vials from the Provincial Health Office after the national government continues to procure more vaccines for all Filipinos to get their jabs done./WDJ
