Charged with attempted murder, a 61-year-old man was arrested last Sunday afternoon at Progresso Village 2, Barangay Vista Alegre in Ilog, Negros Occidental.

Authorities identified the suspect as Bartolome Esclebano of Purok 8 in the town’s Barangay Dancalan.

Joint operatives of the Ilog Police Station led by its OIC, Police Captain Thurslie Castillo, and Bacolod City Police Station’s Police Station 7 Intelligence Unit led by Police Captain Elmer Bonilla arrested Esclebano through the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Rodney Magbanua of the Regional Trial Court – Branch 61 in Kabankalan City.

The suspect was temporarily detained at the Ilog Police Station.

The court recommended P120,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty./WDJ
