Almost P1.7 million worth of illegal drugs were seized in a span of just three days following separate anti-illegal drug operations in Bacolod City between Thursday, August 5, and Saturday, August, resulting in the arrest of at least four people.
Police identified the arrested as Jaime Garde, Garry Cartalaba, Allan Sadia, and Johny Gonzaga.
In an operation conducted last Thursday in the city’s Barangay Taculing, anti-drug operatives confiscated at least 110 grams of suspected shabu valued at P770,000.
The subject of the operation identified as Jobel Blam managed to flee, however Garde was arrested.
In another operation at the city’s Barangay 6, police arrested Cartalaba after yielding an estimated P238,000 worth of suspected shabu weighing 35 grams.
On Saturday, the Regional Special Operations Group of Police Regional Office-6 also conducted another operation in the city’s Barangay Banago which resulted in Sadia and Gonzaga’s arrest.
Cops seized an estimated P680,000 worth of suspected shabu.
The suspects are now facing illegal drug charges, while city police are now investigating where the seized illegal drugs originated./DGB, WDJ
