The City Government of Bacolod awarded Ayala Malls Capitol Central the Safety Seal for the mall’s compliance to the health safety standards and ensures the public a safe experience in the mall.
The Safety Seal Certification confirms that an establishment is compliant with the minimum public health and safety standards set by the government, and that it implements the use of the contact tracing app, the BacTrac.
Leading the Safety Seal Awarding Ceremony on August 5, 2021, was Hon. Mayor Evelio Leonardia, together with Mr. George Zulueta, Bacolod Investment Board Executive Director, consultant Marlon Solidum, Hon. Carl Lopez, and Mr. Jhong Javier from the City PIO, along with representatives from Ayala Malls Capitol Central, Ms. Sharon Ciocon, General Manager and Mr. Niño Jayme, Chief Engineer and Safety Officer.
The issuance of the Safety Seal is part of the government’s efforts to help consumer economy and regain customer confidence on compliant establishments. This initiative is headed by the Bacolod City’s safety seal committee, in collaboration of the different government units – the Department of Trade & Industry, the Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Health, Department of Tourism, and the Department of Labor & Employment, and of course with the support of the City Government of Bacolod.
Ayala Malls Capitol Central, receiving its Safety Seal, gives the customers and its partners the assurance of the mall’s compliance to the health safety standards, including round the clock sanitation, good air/ventilation quality, UV scanners on escalators, supply of alcohols in common areas and vaccinated front-end personnel. Outdoor dining areas are also opened for the customers to enjoy safe dining, following the implemented capacity./ ***
