Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) director, Police Colonel Romy Palgue, revealed that Philippine National Police (PNP) chief General Guillermo Eleazar has rescheduled his visit to the province.

According to Palgue, he received information from the PNP headquarters at Camp Crame that Eleazar will visit on August 22.

Palgue, however, noted that the visit remains tentative pending Eleazar’s other scheduled activities or appointments.

Previously, Eleazar was supposed to visit the province last July 10.

However, the PNP chief’s visit was postponed after the province, including Bacolod City, were escalated to the general community quarantine (GCQ) status.

Following his assumption to the post, Eleazar had been actively visiting various police regional offices in the country and has even personally visited police camps, and stations making sure that the personnel are doing their respective duties as well as inspecting the station’s cleanliness./DGB, WDJ
