The No. 4 in the drug watch list of Kabankalan City in Negros Occidental was arrested at Sitio Nato, Barangay Aguisan in the province’s Himamaylan City.

Joint elements of the Kabankalan City and Himamaylan City police stations arrested 28-year-old Joy Jen Utana, resident of Punta Rojas, Barangay 6, Kabankalan City, at around 9:30 a.m. yesterday.

Utana had a standing warrant of arrest for violation of Section 5 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, issued by Judge Rodney Z. Magbanua of the Regional Trial Court 6 – Branch 61 in Kabankalan City dated July 1, 2021.

Police report showed that Utana together with his companion was the subject of buy-bust operation conducted by the Kabankalan City Police Station last April 15, 2021 at the city’s Barangay 6, Poblacion. Utana was able to evade arrest while his companion was arrested.

Utana is currently detained at the Himamaylan City Police Station.

No bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./WDJ
