The Department of Health (DOH) has already released the special risk allowance for frontline health workers in Negros Occidental.

Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz over the weekend said among those who are entitled to the hazard pay are hospital workers, Provincial Health Office personnel, disaster risk reduction and management office personnel, and quarantine workers.

Diaz explained the allowance funds released by the DOH for health frontliners will depend on the computation of their duty hours.

He further explained the special allowance is part of the funds allocated by the DOH for workers who are risking their lives in the line of their duty due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The provincial administrator also added that the vaccination of all those belonging under the A1 category or frontline health workers is nearly complete./DGB, WDJ
