A motorcycle-riding man died while his three backriders were injured in a vehicular accident in Iloilo province’s Banate town on Saturday.

Banate police identified the fatality as 24-year-old Stephen Bernales. He sustained fatal injuries and was brought to the nearest hospital where the attending physician pronounced him dead-on-arrival.

The three injured, who were all minors, were recuperating at a hospital, police said.

Police investigators said the victims were on their way home from Passi City when Bernales lost control of the motorcycle and they crashed against an electric post.

The victims were not wearing helmets, the police added./WDJ
