The Negros Occidental Provincial Incident Management Team (PIMT) released yesterday morning 1,546 vials of Sinovac vaccines to various local government units (LGUs) in the province.
PIMT head Dr. Zeaphard Caelian said 150 vials were transported to Pulupandan, 198 for Kabankalan, 200 for La Carlota City, 300 for E.B. Magalona, 350 for Talisay City, 198 for Sagay City, and 150 for Escalante City.
Caelian said the Sinovac vaccines were all transported either by ambulances or vehicles belonging to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office.
He said that they still regularly send out vaccines as long as supplies last, adding the system would remain the same wherein any unused vaccines and supplies would be returned back to the cold storage facility of the province in Bacolod City in the afternoon.
Caelian also stated the number of vaccines being sent out to the LGUs would depend on the list provided to them as to how many will be inoculated for the day.
The latest vials sent out to the LGUs are part of the 34,800 doses of Sinovac vaccines for the province that arrived last Wednesday morning./DGB, WDJ
