Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. will issue an executive order (EO) today regarding the lifting of the border control points in the province.
Defensor said his previous EO No. 175, or “An order imposing restrictions on non-essential travel within and into the province of Iloilo,” will expire today and there is no more extension despite the province’s modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) status being extended until July 15.
He added that travel pass will no longer be required for those who wish to travel within the province after June 30.
Meanwhile, Defensor said beginning July 1 the province will strictly implement the no dine-in policy in all food establishments.
“We will accommodate the suggestion of DILG sa dine in sa restaurants, no dine-in anay, i-accommodate anay naton dira. Let’s maximize the protocols and besides gin-usisa na naton kag ginlibot kag gin-obserbaran, hina ang aton compliance sa mga protocols nga gina-impose naton sa barriers, seating arrangement especially small establishments. So, kon indi mo masunod ang protocol I might as well… sundon ko na lang Omnibus Guidelines, instead of DTI circular,” the governor said./WDJ
