League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP) National President and Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia will be the lone representative of all city mayors at the virtual 4th Asia Leadership Forum to be held tomorrow, from 2:00 to 7:00 p. m.

Headlining the event, with the theme “From Principle to Practice: The Pandemic Leadership Essentials,” are remarkable world leaders as keynote speakers.

Leading the list are former United States vice president Michael Pence, former Malaysia prime minister Mahathir Mohamad and former New Zealand prime minister Helen Clark.

Other speakers are former Sweden prime minister Fredrik Reinfeldt, former US Defense secretary Mark Esper, and former World Bank vice president Lawrence Summers, who is also the former president of Harvard University.

The invitation was extended by Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP) National President and Quirino Governor Dakila Carlo Cua to the ULAP National Executive Board members, wherein Leonardia is the executive vice president.

As an invited official delegate, the mayor is entitled to a free admission pass to the conference. Interested parties without an official invitation would have to pay the $1,000 registration fee.

This 5-hour 4th Asia Leadership Forum runs in conjunction with the Asian Leadership Conference (ALC) 2021, with the theme, “World After COVID: Rebuilding Trust and Cooperation.”

Organized by Chosun Media, ALC brings together world-leading thinkers, decision-makers, and experts to discuss practical cases, lessons, and insights they have drawn from the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

The ALC is South Korea’s premier international conference that provides a platform for global leaders to convene and offer possible solutions to Asia’s pressing issues.

This conference will focus on the importance of a leader’s ability to navigate change and disruption, as made abundantly clear by the ongoing global pandemic.

This year’s ALC will feature over 230 global leaders, including former heads of state, heads of corporations, and thought leaders./WDJ
