Himamaylan’s most wanted nabbed in Bacolod

After hiding from authorities for nine years, the No. 1 most wanted man of Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental was finally arrested at Bredco Port in Bacolod City’s Barangay 2 around 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 27.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Romeo Vargas said the suspect identified as 40-year-old Norman James Anipan of Hacienda Lizares in Barangay Mambagaton, Himamaylan City is also the No. 20 most wanted person in Negros Occidental.

Joint operatives of the Himamaylan City Police Station, Regional Intelligence Unit 6, Bacolod City Police Station 2, and Philippine Coast Guard arrested Anipan through the strength of an arrest warrant for the crime of murder issued by Judge Nilo Sarsaba of the Regional Trial Court – Branch 56 in Himamaylan City dated June 18, 2012.

The suspect was detained at the Himamaylan City Police Station.

No bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./WDJ
