A total of 25 grams of suspected shabu valued at around P170,000 were seized from a 35-year-old woman following a drug buy-bust operation on Saturday night at Purok Molave, Barangay 1 in Negros Occidental’s San Carlos City.

Authorities identified the suspect as Edwina Ardaban alias “En-En,” a resident of Fatima Village in the city’s Barangay Rizal.

Joint operatives of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Noel Polines and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 6 also confiscated P14,000 in buy-bust money; a cell phone; P500 cash believed to be illegal drug proceeds; and a motorcycle.

Ardaban was detained at the San Carlos City Police Station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./WDJ
