A security guard was stabbed dead by two suspects at around 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, at Sitio Selos, Barangay La Granja in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.

The victim identified as 30-year-old Jesson Jabison of Purok 5 in the town’s Barangay Nagasi sustained multiple stab wounds on the body, police said.

He was rushed to the Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial District Hospital but the attending physician pronounced him dead-on-arrival.

Meanwhile, officers of the La Carlota City Police Station launched a manhunt operation against the suspects identified as alias Niel Ortega of Purok 3 and alias John Rey Ortega of Purok 1, all of Barangay Nagasi, who fled after the incident.

Police have yet to establish the motive in the incident./WDJ
