Blue guards shoot man to death

Two security guards allegedly gunned down a 35-year-old man around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 23, in Barangay Tuguis, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental.

The 35-year old Julius Dinagiba of the said place sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the body, police said. He was brought to the Hinigaran Emergency Clinic where he was pronounced dead-on-arrival by the attending physician.

Hinigaran police identified the suspects as 55-year-old Roger Belonio of Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City and Eric Soriano of Barangay San Isidro in the province’s Pontevedra town.

Police report disclosed that the victim was warned by security guards not to harvest the napier grass. An altercation later ensued between them which resulted to shooting.

Officers of the Hinigaran Police Station launched a manhunt operation against Belonio and Soriano who fled after the incident./WDJ
