The COVID-19 vaccination for Priority Group A1 to A3 in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental through the City Health Office (CHO) continued with the expansion of its vaccination site to Barangay Buluangan yesterday morning.

Dr. Jessa Tiapon said that the purpose of the relocation of the vaccination site is to cater to the vaccine recipients of the said barangay and its neighboring barangays including barangays Palampas and Guadalupe wherein residents couldn’t travel to the city proper to get their shots.

Katherine Canillo, vaccine recipient and principal of Tandang Sora, said that she decided to get her shot since her job requires meeting different people like students, parents and fellow teachers in school.

She added that this is one of the interventions to avoid spreading the virus and to keep her family safe against COVID-19.

CHO has allocated 259 vials of Sinovac vaccines for the duration of vaccination in the said area which will last for one to two days./WDJ
