A 25-year-old man tagged as street-level drug target was arrested in a buy-bust operation at Purok Kaingin in Bacolod City’s Barangay Singcang-Airport around 3:20 p.m. on Sunday, June 20.

Police Lieutenant Edward O. Bolivar, chief of the Bacolod City Police Office’s City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), identified the suspect as Ronnel Balaquit alias “Beboy Buang,” a resident of Purok Totong 4 in the city’s Barangay Felisa.

CDEU officers confiscated eight sachets of suspected shabu, including the buy-bust item, weighing 27 grams and valued at around P183,600; P500 in buy-bust money; and a coin purse.

The suspect was detained at the Police Station 10, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./WDJ
