The curfew hours in Negros Occidental has been shortened effective yesterday after Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson issued an executive order extending modified general community quarantine in the province until June 30.

The shortened curfew hours, 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., was approved following Lacson’s meeting with the Provincial Incident Management Team on Monday.
However, the governor said in his order that they have decided to retain the current four-day workweek at the provincial capitol based on a recommendation given to him by medical experts.
As of May 31, 2021, Negros Occidental has 15,1081 confirmed COVID-19 cases, of which 452 are active.
The province has also recorded 341 fatalities and 13,315 recoveries./DGB, WDJ
