Two residents of Moises Padilla town were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in La Castellana, Negros Occidental on Thursday, May 27.

Police Captain Rohjn Darell Nigos, La Castellana Police Station officer-in-charge, identified the suspects as 28-year-old Ronel Miñosa of Sitio Banate, Barangay Macagahay and 33-year-old Schlitz Salido of Purok 3, Barangay Ginpanaan, all in Moises Padilla town.

Miñosa was arrested around 12:35 p.m. at Barangay Cabacungan. La Castellana police confiscated two elongated sachets of suspected shabu, a cell phone and a red motorcycle.

Salido, on the other hand, yielded two elongated sachets of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation at Sitio Buragwak in Barangay Manghanoy around 3:10 p.m. Police also confiscated his red motorcycle.

The suspects were detained at the La Castellana Police Station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./WDJ
