A 52-year old man facing rape charges was arrested at Hacienda Marigasa 3, Barangay Kapitan Ramon in Silay City, Negros Occidental around 12:30 p.m. yesterday.

Police identified the suspect as 52-year-old Francisco Legaspi alias “Kalbo,” a resident of the said village.

Legaspi, the No. 5 most wanted person of Silay City Police Station, was nabbed by joint operatives of the Silay City Police Station, 1st Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6, and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Negros Occidental through the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Dyna Doll Chiongson-Trocio of the Regional Trial Court – Branch 40 in Silay City.

The suspect was detained at the Silay City Police Station.

The court recommended P200,000 bail bond for violation of Anti-Rape Law of 1997 and no bail bond for two counts of rape charges./WDJ
