San Carlos City Mayor Renato Gustilo and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) represented by BFP-6 regional director Fire Senior Supt. Jerry D. Candido recently signed the Deed of Usufruct for a lot doantion.

The said 1,500-square meter lot is donated by the city government to the BFP for the construction of the latter’s new fire station building located at the city’s Barangay Rizal.

Candido said Cong. Gerardo P. Valmayor Jr. of the first district of Negros Occidental also showed support by assuring the BFP that he will allocate P20 million budget for the construction of new fire station.

He also said that the BFP regional office will allocate P1 million for the repair of the fire truck.

The signing of the Deed of Usufruct was witnessed by Fire Chief Insp. Kim Celesio, caretaker of BFP-Negros Occidental, Vice Mayor Christopher Paul Carmona and other city and BFP officials./WDJ
