Negros Occidental and Bacolod City yesterday received an additional shipment of CoronaVac COVID-19 vaccines made by Chinese biotech company Sinovac.

The vaccines arrived via a Cebu Pacific Air flight from Manila around 8:00 a.m.

The batch contained a total of 6,000 vials, 3,000 of which are for Bacolod City and another 3,000 for Negros Occidental.

The newly-acquired vaccines of the provincial government are expected to be used tomorrow as they begin the inoculation of provincial government employees.

Bacolod City, meanwhile, is expected to use the CoronaVac vaccines alongside the AstraZeneca jabs which are currently being distributed in various vaccination sites in the city./DGB, WDJ
