Negros Occidental Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer is denying reports that he would run for vice mayor in Bacolod City in the upcoming national and local elections in 2022.
According to Ferrer, if he had any plans of running in any position in Bacolod, he would have already transferred his registration in the city by May 8 of this year.
He said he is already at the second highest elected position in the province, and he doesn’t want to waste the opportunity of serving the public.
The vice governor has also confirmed that he will be running for re-election in 2022, alongside incumbent Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson.
Ferrer’s name was floated as a possible candidate for vice mayor in Bacolod in the upcoming polls, particularly as running mate of possible mayoralty candidate Alfredo Benitez./DGB, WDJ
