National Inter-Agency Task Force (NIATF) Chief Implementer for the Visayas, ret. general Mel Feliciano, returned to Bacolod City on Monday to lead the distribution of COVID-19 Vaccination Operations Center Manuals to all local chief executives in Negros Occidental.

According to a statement released by the provincial government yesterday morning, the handbook contains a comprehensive guide in establishing a systematic orderly and standardized method in the rollout of the vaccines.

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, who was also present in the event, said given the transcendental importance of vaccination, they have to make sure that its implementation must be structured and organized to be able to achieve the desired end to the COVID-19 crisis.

Lacson also acknowledged Feliciano, Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Secretary Michael Lloyd Dino, and Department of Health Undersecretary Anthony Gerard Gonzales for their efforts.

The governor also thanked President Rodrigo Duterte and Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go for asserting the whole of nation approach for the equitable rollout of vaccines in the country./DGB, WDJ
