The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and the COVID-19 Vaccination Council (CoVaC) held a free vaccination for priority groups at Ayala Malls Capitol Central on Saturday, May 8.
The free vaccination aims to accommodate the remaining frontline healthcare workers (A1), senior citizens (A2), and persons with comorbidities (A3), the Bacolod City Public Information Office said in a statement.
The EOC and CoVac, both chaired by Mayor Evelio Leonardia, first started its mass COVID-19 vaccination for priority groups at SM City Bacolod on May 3. A total of 1,690 Bacolodnons were inoculated from May 3 to 6.
City Administrator Em Ang, who is also the executive director of EOC and coordinator of CoVaC, said the free vaccination at SM City will resume today.
They will only accommodate those who have completed their vaccination registration and have received a call or text from EOC of their confirmed appointments.
The schedule of vaccination is based on a first-come first-served sequence in the order that the registration came into the city’s database./WDJ
