The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has launched an investigation after one of their police personnel received a cake topped with human ears.
In an interview with RMN DYHB-Bacolod, BCPO chief Colonel Manuel Placido refused to name the cop or to what unit he belonged.
According to Placido, a letter was accompanied in the cake with the words “Gusto mo gid magsikat. Sige lang kay lapit ka na ma-front page, ma-promote ka pa. Alerto lang kay para indi ka ma-dehado.”
The ears recovered in the cake were sent to the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) that have confirmed that the ears belonged to a human.
SOCO, however, has not been able to confirm as to who was the owner of the ears, although back in March of this year, a body was recovered in Victorias City wherein the victim’s ears were missing.
The victim in the incident had remained unidentified, but it was strongly believed that illegal drugs may have been the motive behind the killing.
Placido also said he met with the involved police officer after the incident. He also pointed out it is normal for police officers to receive threats.
He also assured that the whole police force will be protected from threats to their life, especially if it is work related./DGB, WDJ
