A man facing four counts of rape charges was arrested around 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, at Purok San Antonio, Barangay Tinampa-an in Negros Occidental’s Cadiz City.

Authorities identified the suspect as Nonie Silpao, a resident of Barelia 2 in the city’s Barangay Zone 2.

Joint operatives of the Cadiz City Police Station and Ilog Municipal Police arrested Silpao through the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Rosario Ester B. Orda Caise of the Regional Trial Court – Branch 61 in Kabankalan City dated November 24, 2014.

Police report showed that Silpao was involved in a crime on 2012 where he raped a minor and threatened her using an undetermined caliber of firearm.

The victim also revealed that she was sexually abused by the suspect since she was 14 years old.

The court recommended no bail bond for Silpao’s temporary liberty.

He was detained at the Ilog Police Station./WDJ
