The construction of the new Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) flagpole is almost done.
The new flagpole could be the tallest in Bacolod or even in the whole Negros Occidental.

Located in front of the BCPO main building, the flagpole was made possible through the generosity of brothers architect Caesar Ken D. Panisales and engineer Emar Ken D. Panisales, owner/proprietor of ACSTER Marketing, who solely funded the construction of the new BCPO flagpole from their resources in showing their support to the leadership of BCPO director Col. Manuel A. Placido.
Because of the flagpole length and height, the raised Philippine flag could be seen even at a considerable distance and would greet people and individuals who would enter the BCPO headquarters due to its imposing presence and perfect location.
Placido, meanwhile, is thankful particularly to the ACSTER Marketing for the construction of the new flagpole and to the Silver Dragon Construction Inc. for the concreting of BCPO pavement and parade ground at no cost or with no public fund but, from their owns pocket and resources.
He is overwhelmed by the support of Bacolodnons in all his endeavors and plan for the BCPO and for trusting his leadership as the BCPO director.
As envisioned by Placido for the city of Bacolod, the new flagpole, with its regally raised Philippine flag at the BCPO parade ground, shall be a unifying symbol for all Filipinos, and for its personnel to render a salute, for everyone to respect and honor the national flag, and for all of us to see and be proud as Bacolodnons./WDJ
