Two

street-level drug suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Bacolod City’s Barangay 13 around 1:30 a.m. yesterday.

Authorities identified the suspects as 24-year-old Anthony Villacrusis alias “Toto Villacrusis” and 33-year-old Gemma Mellogo.

Personnel from Bacolod City Police Office City Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Villacrusis and Mellogo after the former sold shabu to an undercover officer.

Police recovered from Villacrusis 27 heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu while Mellogo yielded two heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu, weighing around 20 grams and valued at P136,000.

Also confiscated were coin purse and P500 cash believed to be proceeds from illegal drug transactions.

The suspects were detained at the Bacolod City Police Station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./WDJ
