Provincial administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz disclosed yesterday that the vaccine demand for local healthcare workers is within 20,000 doses, with allocation of vaccines for the province at 12,000, with only 6,000 to be inoculated, due to the limited supply given to Negros Occidental.
With so many senior citizens already volunteering to be vaccinated, Diaz said that demand for A1 category is 258,831 doses for all local government units of Negros Occidental.
“Combining the allocation of Sinovac and AstraZeneca is 12,044, of which 9,910 were already utilized, with the remaining balance allocated for the second dose, which will soon be administered,” Diaz said.
A total of 3,929 health workers were already vaccinated with two doses, he added./DGB, WDJ
