The Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in Bacolod City has temporarily banned watchers of the patients from staying in the hospital’s premises due to the recent sharp increase of coronavirus disease 2019, or COVID-19, cases both in the city and the province of Negros Occidental.
In an advisory issued by CLMMRH medical center chief Dr. Julius Drilon, all watchers are not allowed to stay with the patients after being assessed by healthcare workers to be independent of activities of daily living after the necessary surgical or medical intervention.
Drilon assured the public they will give the proper medical care to all of their patients, as well as giving regular updates of the patient’s medical status.
The hospital has also ensured the safety of all patients and healthcare workers from the unnecessary exposure from COVID-19 to allow faster recovery and ensure continuation of hospital services with adequate manpower./DGB, WDJ
