The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Region 6 announced yesterday that they are looking for qualified individuals to join their ranks as junior officers.
Fire Inspector Jasmin Mesanas, acting chief of BFP-6’ Human Resource department, said they need additional 135 firemen to enhance their capability to save lives and property. He added that the application folders already started on April 19 and will run until May 3 for the regular quota.
To qualify, the applicant must be a Filipino citizen not less than 21 nor more than 30 years of age; have a Baccalaureate Degree; must possess a Civil Service Professional or Fire Officer Eligibility; and must be at least one meter and sixty-two centimeters (1.62M) in height for males and one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57M) for females.
Also, weight must not be more than or less than five kilograms from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age and sex and must have passed the neuro-psychiatric evaluation, medical examination and drug test for the purpose of determining his/her physical and mental health.
Meanwhile, Mesanas said there are 12 new firemen who are set to take their oath on April 30 for the attrition quota.
The attrition quota will fill in the post for those officers who retired, died and promoted./WDJ
