Fifty nine sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P1.7 million were seized following a buy-bust operation at Purok Bagong Silang in Bacolod City’s Barangay Estefania early Monday morning.

Police identified the arrested as 35-year-old Christine “Bebe” Lazalita, a resident of the said place. The second suspect, 34-year-old Edwin “Tato” Vivero, managed to elude arrest.
Based on information provided by the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), the drug bust was conducted by operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) under Police Captain Paul Vincent Pendon, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit-6 under Police Lt. Colonel Mark Anthony Darroca, and Police Station 4 led by Police Major Jun Ray Batadlan.
Police recovered 59 sachets of suspected shabu with a combined weight of around 250 grams and the P1,000 marked money.
Police are now preparing drug-related charges against Lazalita who is currently detained at the Police Station 4./DGB, WDJ
