2 drug suspects fall in Silay City

Two drug suspects were arrested during a buy-bust operation at Rizal Highway, Barangay Lantad in Negros Occidental’s Silay City around 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

Police Lieutenant Robert Petate, OIC chief of the Silay City Police Station, identified the suspects as 40-year-old Cydee Bajande of Carmela Subdivision in the city’s Barangay Guinhalaran and 40-year-old Michael Detoyato, a resident of Barangay 2 in Victorias City.

Officers of the Silay City Drug Enforcement Unit confiscated eight heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu, including the buy-bust item, weighing 22 grams and valued at P149,000 and P500 in buy-bust money.

Police also seized the suspects’ Isuzu Crosswind.

The suspects were detained at the Silay City Police Station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002./WDJ
