The assistance, in the form of gas coupons worth P10,000, was delivered by Chamber representative Crispin Chua and was received by BCPO director, Police Col. Manuel A. Placido.

The gas coupons were immediately turned over to Police Lt. Rondyl Tapang, chief of the Tactical Motorcycle Riding Units (TMRU), being the primary beneficiary of the gas assistance to help improve the unit’s drive against criminality in the city.

As BCPO is intensifying its crime prevention campaign, the support from stakeholders is a great help in the conduct of more aggressive and sustained police operations to get rid of the opportunity of the motor-riding criminals to perpetrate their crime and as part of the heightened security measures implemented by BCPO within its area of responsibility, Placido said.

The BCPO director expressed his gratitude to MBCCI and assured them of heightened presence and police visibility to deter criminals and proactive police strategy for the safety of the Bacolod community./WDJ
