Lacson releases P6M worth of barangay projects

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led the distribution of checks worth a total of P6 million for the implementation of various projects in the different barangays of Negros Occidental.

The activity was held at the Capitol Social Hall on Monday morning and attended by the respective punong barangays and local government unit authorized representatives.

The beneficiary barangays were Barangay 5 in San Carlos City; barangays Banquerohan, Mabini, Daga, and Zone 6 in Cadiz City; Brgy. Guinhalaran, Silay City; Brgy. Burgos, Pontevedra; barangays Zone 4, Zone 1A, Zone 4A, Mabini, and Palaka Norte in Pulupandan; barangays Sag-ang and Nato in La Castellana; barangays 4 Poblacion and Sikatuna in Isabela; Brgy. Pinggot, Ilog; Brgy. Banga, Candoni; and barangays Orong and Tabugon in Kabankalan City.

The projects include construction of water systems, purchase of rescue vehicles, construction of perimeter fence, rehabilitation of barangay hall, construction of lined canal, construction of bridge sidewalk, purchase of IT equipment and office furniture, construction of open concrete bleachers, repair of multi-purpose vehicle, swine raising project, and installation of solar powered street lights.
