Former agriculture secretary and current chairman of the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA), Emmanuel Piñol, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson on Monday, March 22, wherein they discussed a technical cooperation agreement with MinDA related to farming technologies.
Piñol pointed out that they are interested to learn about the sugarcane-rice cropping system implemented in Negros Occidental.
MinDA also intends to share farming technologies to the province for more agricultural improvement and to ensure food security.
Negros Occidental Provincial Agriculturist, Atty. Japhet Masculino, who also joined the meeting, accompanied Piñol at the sugarcane-rice cropping system model farm in Murcia town./WDJ
