Two tombstone makers died when their motorcycles overshot the unfinished concrete road in Purok Rose, Barangay Cabug in Bacolod City around 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 21.
Rescue personnel responded to the scene of the accident where Remy Christopher Bertolano and Julius Xander Urbano were seen lying on the pavement in Purok Rose, Barangay Cabug, Bacolod City on Sunday night. (Police Station 9 photos)
According to a report from the Bacolod City Police Office, the victims were identified as 26-year-old Remy Christopher Bertolano and 37-year-old Julius Xander Urbano, both residents of the city’s Barangay Handumanan. They died on the spot.
Traffic investigation showed that Bertolano and Urbano, who were on their way home, were going east of the road when their respective motorcycle overshot the road. The two were thrown off and fell on the pavement.
The area was also not well-lighted, police added.
The bodies of Bertolano and Urbano were brought to the Villanueva Funeral Homes./SGG, WDJ
