The man found dead last Sunday in Victorias City’s Canetown Subdivision remains unidentified.

Police Colonel Eduardo Corpuz, Victorias City police chief, said they have managed to track down the whereabouts of the woman, whose name was written in the paper along with the words “I love drugs” and “ikaw ang susunod.”

Corpuz said they talked with the woman, however, she failed to identify the dead man. He said the woman was also afraid as the killers placed her name on the paper and threatened her that she will be the next target.

Based on the post-mortem examination of the victim’s remains, he had two gunshot wounds to the head. The man was also believed to have been beaten prior to being killed as he had incurred several broken ribs. The victim’s ears have also been hacked off.

The victim also has an HGL tattoo which means that he had previously served time in jail, as the tattoo is common among prisoners.

Residents in Canetown Subdivision have also been unable to identify the victim, and police now believe the individual may have been killed someplace else and his remains were only dumped in the area.

As of this writing, police are continuing their investigation of the incident, and Corpuz clarified that they are currently unable to confirm if the incident was indeed a drug-related case./DGB, WDJ
