Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson yesterday said he has tasked former Human Resources Management Office (HRMO) head, Atty. Anabelle Palic, to find potential tenants for the provincial government’s Negros First Cyber Center.
Palic had been reassigned to the Office of the Governor following her relief.
According to Lacson, he is confident that Palic would be able to find new tenants and put her in charge of the transition of the cyber centre following the capitol’s takeover earlier this month.
Lacson said Palic’s relief should be taken as a “blessing in disguise” as it had given her the best job based on her background, adding Palic has experience in the corporate world as she was formerly an employee of the Land Bank of the Philippines.
The governor also advised the capitol employees to concentrate on their work.
Palic had earlier been sacked from her post after the Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (PACE) submitted a petition for her relief.
The provincial official’s removal stemmed over allegations that several employees of the provincial government claimed that they were “de-credited” of their leave credits when they underwent quarantine due to COVID-19.
