8 drug suspects arrested

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Special Enforcement Team dismantled a suspected drug den located at the Vendor’s Plaza in Bacolod City’s Barangay 12 yesterday afternoon.

Authorities arrested Jovie Bermudes, Danny Rodriguez, Brian De Guzman, Jayhan Mission Alqusalas, Joshua Cagmcal, Reynaldo Villamor, Itrmel Taghoy, and Roy Agena, all residents of the said barangay.

PDEA operatives swooped down Vendor’s Plaza after the suspects allegedly sold one sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover agent.

PDEA agents recovered a total of six small and one medium sized sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, a coin purse, and the P500 marked money.

The eight suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act  9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./WDJ
