Four persons died after a truck crashed against a solar dryer in Barangay Apelo, Sara, Iloilo around 3:00 a.m. yesterday.

Sara Police Station chief, Police Major Nemias Pamplona, identified the victims as 36-year-old truck driver Henry Diyan of Barangay Milibilki, Roxas City; his helper An Rey Siniy, 26, of Sara town’s Barangay Bancal; and laborers Norsan Romualdo, 27, of Barangay Pasig, Sara, and Jojo Ciudad, 31, of Barangay Arante, Sara.

The four were brought to the Sara District Hospital where they were pronounced dead-on-arrival, police said.

According to Pamplona, Diyan lost control of the truck which was loaded with 450 sacks of corn and it rammed the solar dryer where Ciudad and Romualdo were sleeping.

The truck and the solar dryer also incurred severe damage./WDJ
