Two persons were apprehended in a drug buy-bust operation around 8:40 a.m. on Wednesday at Purok 1, Barangay Talubangi in Negros Occidental’s Kabankalan City.

Authorities identified the suspects as 49-year-old Romulo Dulla, Jr. alias “Banag” of Sitio San Juan in the city’s Barangay Camugao and 47-year-old Joseph Arnan Vingno of Hacienda Bino, Barangay Orong- all.

Joint members of the Kabankalan City Police Station and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 6 confiscated 18 sachets of suspected shabu weighing around three grams and valued at P20,400 and buy-bust money.

They also seized two cell phones, cash proceeds amounting to P605, a motorcycle, and drug paraphernalia from the suspects.

The suspects were detained at the Kabankalan City Police Station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002./WDJ
