A 69-year-old laborer was stabbed to death at Purok 14 Kawilan in Barangay Asia, Hinobaan, Negros Occidental on Wednesday morning, March 3.

Police identified the victim as Marcelino Lagoras, a resident of the village. He sustained a stab wound on the body.

Hinobaan police report showed that the victim was about to open their gate when he was stabbed by 56-year-old chainsaw operator Rodolfo Alingasa.

Personal grudge is being considered by the police as a motive behind the stabbing.

Alingasa is now detained at the Hinobaan Police Station for filing of appropriate charges./WDJ
