The increasing COVID-19 cases in Negros Oriental prompted local officials to reinstate their guards.

The border is being manned by the Philippine National Police-San Carlos and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6, City Health Office representatives and Barangay Buluangan officials and tanods.

PCPL Lester Dizon of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 said upon entry, travelers are required to bring health certificates and valid IDs.

The health checkpoint control starts from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.

As of yesterday, Feb. 26, San Carlos City is already COVID-19 free./WDJ
